Delta-IV medium rockets use a single CBC, while the heavy version uses three CBCs. The Delta-IV family of rockets is built around a Common Booster Core (CBC). All Delta III launch attempts occured from launch complex 17B at Cape Canaveral.Īlthough not successful as a satellite launcher, experience with the Delta III's cryogenic upper stage, and the new payload fairing, contributed to the new Delta IV rocket family. Only the third launch, with a dummy payload, was considered successful. Unfortunately, the first two attempts failed. Burning liquid hydrogen and liquid oxygen for fuel, the new second stage was much more powerful than previous Delta II second stages. ![]() The RL10B-2 was developed from the highly reliable RL-10 engine. The Delta III second stage was powered by a cryogenically fueled Pratt & Whitney RL10B-2 rocket engine. Three of the SRMs were capable of thrust-vectoring to provide the rocket with additional directional control. Thrust was supplemented with nine GEM-46 solid rocket motors. The first stage was powered by an RS-27A main engine and two small vernier engines. The Delta III was designed to have a higher payload than existing Delta II rockets. The Delta III, sometimes referred to as the Delta-8930, was developed in the late 1990's. And then when combined with star, the light could be a thinly veiled reference to the 'stars in heaven.' But why would the protagonist of the song be 'chasing the starlight?' Here you can start to explore many different questions.Ĭould the 'starlight' be thought of an ideal, perfection, purity or some unobtainable goal? This impression makes more sense when he wonders if the effort "is worth it anymore." Is trying to be good and perfect the reason to get to a wonderful afterlife? Or is the person reflecting on the good (starlight) he has striven for which now appears to 'mean nothing' since he is dying? I will note the band stated this is a " a love song about missing someone, friends, family, someone you love" and therefore not explicitly about dying. On a very obvious level 'seeing the light' is commonly perceived as an experience of someone near death. "Chasing a starlight" can have multiple meanings in reference to end of life. Or more generally, the decreased level of consciousness as someone gets closer to death. The ship taking the singer 'far away' could be an allusion to disease, especially one like Alzheimer's which erases the memories of the important people in your life. In "Starlight" the band makes use of outer space, a common theme on this album, as a metaphor for loss and distance. ![]() (If the video does not display click the title of the post) Pay more attention to the audio and lyrics. The visuals of the video below are not highlighted in this post. This song exemplifies these traits well with simple piano and guitar melodies, with more space-rock bridges breaking the song into two very different feels. Overall their music style is defined by the music genome project as frequent use of minor key tonality, subtle use of piano and some electronica influence. Muse is a band whose music leans towards more sullen material, and some critics of the band chastised this song for being too pop-oriented. The video at Rome Olympic stadium in 2013 gives me chills due to the fantastic environment that can be perceived with one of the biggest moments when the entire forum started to sing “Our hopes and expectations, Black holes and revelations, Our hopes and expectations, Black holes and revelations” to afterwards continue with the clapping hands at the drums rhythm.Songs about loss are rarely upbeat enough to get you moving in your car, but for me "Starlight" by the English alternative/progressive rock band Muse manages to combine sorrow and loss with rock and roll supported by a driving bass line to make a catchy song with some deeper meaning. Indeed, at their live shows is incredible how the audience follow the drums rhythm creating a magical atmosphere during their concert with this song. ![]() The piano arrangement is such a classy touch alongside with the drums and Matt Bellamy voice to make a perfect harmony. For that reason wanted to write about it on the Song Thoughts section. In the original version the electric bass has a raw sound, while the version live at Rome Olympic Stadium the sound is a bit softer furthermore at the AOL Session the beginning has a guitar picking to then let the bass sound have an appearance going towards a vibrato which just demonstrates my initial statement slightly different sounds but in all of them sounding good with their own style. Over the week a couple of live versions from the song appeared on my playlist and caught my ear in terms of how they can sound different but good at the same time let me explain. Muse became a mainstream band and those guys know how to be creative and have an original sound while playing live. ![]() ![]() MultipleCompilationErrorsException: startup failed: So let's get our hands dirty and create a ArgoCD AppProject using the argocd CLI called apps2deploy: role token:ġ.) (You don't see them burn, though, due to the bomb's cloud.) When all else fails, a cherry bomb plant will blow up and burn nearby zombies to a crisp. With nearly 50 unlockable plants with which to war against nearly two dozen kinds of zombies, you'll be testing out ways to blow up, freeze, or burn zombies like Buckethead, who's very tough to kill or Screen Door, who is best annihilated by a Fume Shroom whose spores pass through the screen shield to gas the lunking monster. This tower defense game feels quite new because of the humor injected by the developers, like the undead soul who dons Michael Jackson's "Thriller" outfit. The strategy comes in when you must choose from a variety of plants which do different kinds of damage to different kinds of zombies. Clicking on sunlight dropping in your yard provides you with points with which to buy new plants. Then, you place a plant by clicking on a portion of your yard. You click on a plant in the upper left portion of your computer screen which will give you sunlight or which will attack the slow but steady onslaught of zombies. Once the adventure portion of the game begins, you see a suburban house and a yard, the latter of which is your battleground. This PC game falls into the category of being simple to learn, but challenging to master. ![]() And you do it by planting plants at stategic places in your backyard. Woody stayed a ventriloquist's dummy with a pull-string (hence the name Woody), until his character designer, Bud Luckey, suggested that Woody could be changed to a cowboy ventriloquist dummy. They based his facial features on Disney animator Tone Thyne. Woody was inspired by a Casper the Friendly Ghost doll that Lasseter had when he was a kid and the puppets from the show Howdy Doody. The Pixar team came back with a new script three months later, with the character of Woody altered from being the tyrannical boss of Andy's toys to being their wise and caring leader. Īfter the negative feedback, Lasseter, Stanton, and Docter got together in early September 1991 with the second draft of the film, and although the lead characters were still Tinny and the dummy, the outline of the final film was beginning to take shape. Katzenberg thought the original draft for Toy Story was bad and told Lasseter to redo it, making it more of an odd-couple buddy picture, where the characters Tinny and Woody would be forced to bond with each other despite their different characteristics. Tom Hanks, the primary voice of Woody, was unhappy with the character and reportedly shouted "This guy is a jerk!" while recording lines for the story reel. After Disney executives saw the draft, they sent negative feedback about it and production on the movie was shut down, until a better draft could be revised. Woody would be the main villain, abusing the other toys until they rallied against him. It had Tinny, the one-man band from Tin Toy, as the main character and Woody as an evil ventriloquist dummy. The original draft for the film Toy Story, by Pixar animators John Lasseter, Andrew Stanton, and Pete Docter, had almost nothing to do with the eventually finished film. Steve Jobs, founder and former owner of Pixar, made a deal with Disney, under Disney chairman Jeffrey Katzenberg, to work on the film Toy Story together, which would be the first feature-length computer animated film. Since his debut, Woody has received largely positive reception from reviewers because of his character's arc and personality, as well as Tom Hanks' vocal performance.Ĭoncept art of Woody's original design as an evil ventriloquist dummy He decides he will remain with Bo Peep and help lost toys find new owners. When Bonnie's family decides to go on a vacation, he finds his long-lost girlfriend, Bo Peep. When Andy grows up, he has to get rid of his toys and decides to give them to a little girl named Bonnie Anderson. He figures out he used to be in a popular TV show called Woody's Roundup and is asked to stay with the group, but decides to remain with Andy's toys. When Andy gets a new toy called Buzz Lightyear, Woody’s position is jeopardized until he later becomes friends with Buzz. In the films, Woody is Andy Davis' favorite toy and is the leader of Andy's toys. In August 2009, Toy Story 3 director, Lee Unkrich, stated in his Twitter feed that Woody's last name is Pride and has been since the making of the original movie. ![]() Woody is named after Woody Strode, a character actor known for many roles in western films. ![]() Woody was designed by Bud Luckey, and is based on John Lasseter's Casper pull-string doll he had as a kid, as well as the Howdy Doody puppets from the 1950s show. This is one of my go-to salad recipes and I look forward to winter every year to make it. As others have mentioned it’s better the next day so mix that dressing in with your hands and let it sit overnight. I’ve made it with walnuts, goat cheese and green apple matchsticks or added celery, dried cranberries and red pepper flakes (flakes in dressing). I always put the sprouts through the food processor for speed and massage the kale for 5ish minutes and squeeze out liquid before chopping. Made this tonight for the umpteenth time and finally gave it a review. The salad lasts pretty well for leftovers. I also use sliced almonds and sautée them till brown and sprinkle a bit of salt on them. I almost never even add the cheese as it's delicious without it. Not only is it delicious but it's healthy, too. Have been making this salad for several years now and love it. People say they don't like kale then I serve them this salad then they like kale I still think it’s worth it, especially considering that Kale is so hardy and doesn’t wilt as quickly as other greens, this salad will hold up for at least 4 days in the fridge! We’ve been making this salad occasionally for 8ish years. ![]() My sister in law and I call this ’the salad’, as it’s so good and usually a hit. Lasts up to a week and gets better each day. I add 1 cup blueberries for a pop of flavor and occasionally serve it with salmon when I’m making it a more filling meal. I squeezed extra lemon juice on top because I could. I added about a 1/2c dried cranberries to make it more festive. I didn't use kale, only thinly-sliced brussels. I made this at Thanksgiving with Meyer lemons fresh from our little potted tree (hard to find seasonal lemon recipes this time of year!). ![]() I think it's definitely worth the time to hand chop the ingredients to get the brussels sprouts and kale just so.
